I wanted to make a portrait of myself as older man, since most portraits have a tendency towards giving the sitter a youthful look. In this painting I am aged at around 60.  If you are interested in commissioning a portrait of yourself as an older person please contact me and I can give you the details.  I am also interested in doing couples as older people as well.  For instance this painting was based upon this photo.

I then fed this initial image into aging software. This is software which was developed to age photos of young girls who were kidnapped and have been missing for many years. But it has the possibility to age many different photos. To be honest it doesn’t really work all that well, most of the distinguishing wrinkle lines have to be painted manually.  But it does do some basic  facial shape changing that would otherwise be hard to spot.
